Abstract

Nutrition is essential for sustaining life and promoting health. Healthy living is achieved through adequate and balanced nutrition, which involves sufficient intake of energy and essential nutrients tailored to individual needs based on age, gender, physical activity, and specific conditions. A healthy life is contingent upon individuals’ knowledge of nutrition and the ability to apply this knowledge through healthy behaviors. Eating behaviors are influenced by both physiological and psychological factors, often leading to disorders such as emotional and impulsive eating, which contribute to health issues like obesity. Eating awareness, or mindful eating, helps individuals interpret internal and external food cues, fostering better recognition of hunger and satiety. This heightened awareness plays a critical role in developing effective nutrition strategies and promoting healthier eating patterns. This study examines the relationship between eating awareness, nutrition, and health through an archival document review and qualitative research methods, revealing insights into the role of mindfulness in promoting healthier eating behaviors and preventing obesity-related health issues.
