Risks and prevention approaches in healthcare institutions: responsibilities of nurses

Sağlık hizmeti sunumunda hasta ve çalışan güvenliğinde risk yönetimi önemli bir yere sahiptir. Risk yönetimi ile sağlık hizmetlerinde meydana gelebilecek kazaları, hataları ve istenmeyen olayları önlemek veya en aza indirmek ve olumsuz sonuçları önlemek mümkündür. Sağlık hizmetlerinde risk yönetimi, proaktif yaklaşımları içeren, beklenmeyen durumların sıklığını ve yoğunluğunu azaltmaya yönelik faaliyetleri içeren, hastaların yasal taleplerinin etkisini azaltmaya yönelik potansiyel sorumlulukları içeren ve hastaların ve sağlık personelinin sağlığını korumayı ve sağlık kurumunu etkileyecek riskleri azaltmayı veya ortadan kaldırmayı amaçlayan bir sistem tasarımıdır. Hemşirelik hizmetlerinin sunumunda, hasta güvenliği, çalışan sağlığı ve bakım kalitesi üzerindeki etkileri nedeniyle hemşirelerin ve hemşire yöneticilerinin risk yönetimi hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmaları ve risk yönetimini etkin bir şekilde kullanmaları önemlidir. Bu çalışma, hemşireler arasında risk yönetimi konusunda farkındalık yaratmayı, hemşirelerin sorumluluklarını ortaya koymayı ve hasta ve çalışan güvenliği de dahil olmak üzere sağlık kurumlarındaki riskleri ve önleme yaklaşımlarını ele alarak yöneticilerin uygulamalarına katkıda bulunmayı amaçlamaktadır.
