The effectiveness of Burdur is Reading Project

The purpose of this research is, to expose the effectiveness of Burdur is Reading Project. Qualitative research method was used in this research. The study group of this research is, project executives (school principals, assistant principals or teachers) who worked in Burdur in 2007 - 2008 academic years and readers who joined the Burdur is Reading Project reading the books. Two different face to face interview forms which are consist of semi-structured and open-ended questions were prepared for executives and readers. Data were analyzed with content analysis. The findings show that the Burdur is Reading Project is fairly effective and useful. The results of research indicate that, nearly all project executives and all readers want the Burdur is Reading Project should be continued.Downloads
