Abstract

In this stuty a survey composed of 11guestion to determine socio- demografic features of workers,32 questions
about hand hygiene,22 question about body hygiene was used.This is a determining study. [5]
Body of the study was composed by 809 people working at 178 different food production places in Mu????la City.
Research was limited with 710 people who admitted this study.In the study information points about hand and body
hygiene in order was determined as 21.76±4.85, 16.08±2.88 and 37.86±7.09 of the workers,51.4% were in
20-29 age group,44.2% were primary school graduates,secondary school graduates took the highest points,and a
meaningful statistical difference was found ( p<00.5) between secondary school and primary school graduates. In the
research it has been determined that 51.3% of the workers worked for a one to four years period,highest information
points were taken by the workers who worked for a 21 to 24 years period of time. [6]
As a conclusion considering effect and importance of food producing places on public health we claim that these
workers should be regularly trained and inspected about hand and body hygiene.
