Inequalities in Turkish Politics: Since the Establishment of the Republic to 2000

Turkish political (Arslan, 2004-a; 2004-b) elites were analyzed in terms of the inequalities in this study. Social background characteristics were employed to realize the purposes. Documentary and historical research techniques were used during die study. Age, gender, education, family background, occupations are still among die most important social factors and have traditional and substantial influence on the elite rccruiunent process in Contemporary Turkish society.Downloads
