Abstract

The major objective of this study is to discuss the influence of television on individuals, culture and whole society. It is a common reality for the researchers that television has important affect in the early socialisation of children and also in the long term socialisation of adults. Nevertheless, in some circumstances television plays the role of the agent of de-socialising in socialisation process by de-socialising, challenging and disturbing the setting of values by parents, educators and other agent of social control.
