In this paper a scale of religious attitude (in an Islamic tradition) was constructed and its metric properties were introduced on the basis of its tests on two different samples (ns=930 and 388) of university students. It was found that the scale, which was named as Ok-Religious Attitude Scale, had high alpha scores (.81 and .91). Both explanatory and confirmatory factor analyses confrim that the scale with its four subscales (cognitive, emotional, behavioral and relational) form an ideal model. It was also observed that the scale reaved a powerfull criterion validity which was obtained from its comparision with Francis Scale of Attitude Towards Christianity (Francis ve ark., 2005) and Intrinsic Religiosity scale (Allport ve Ross, 1967). In its final form the scale seem to be a reliable, valid and viable tool with its economic content to be used in social science researches with religiosity variables.Downloads
