A glance at Gumilcine from the Durri’s Sehrengiz

Şehrengiz is one of the important local types of classical Turkish poetry. These types of classical works which provide information about the cities they were written about. Şehrengiz takes place in Turkish literature after XVI. century. Many diffirent kinds of studies have been made about şehrengiz at diffirent times up to now and the şehrengiz produced after all these studies have been one of the important works in terms of the social and culturel background of the city they were written. One of these works is Dürri’s Gümülcine Şehrengiz which has not been mentioned throughout history up to now. It is an improtant document as it provides information about social and culturel background for Gümülcine- one of the important parts of west Trakya- after XVII. century.Downloads
