Abstract

The name "comic" is a result of the often comic tales that were told in the short image sequences or pictures. These short image sequences are called as comic strips. Besides the many humorous series, there are all kinds of comics which have the political, social or violent content. Although we think that only children and youths read comics, both children and youths and adults prefer to follow and read these comics which have different themes . Comics are popular culture whose origin taken as part of the Sunday newspapers, and today have great importance in children and youth's literature. The aim of this study is to make an introduction, what are objectives and significance of comics, which properties are available of comics e.g. Speech bubbles, writing or pictures ... etc. and to compare the history of comics in America, Germany and Turkey. The origin of comics based on the cave paintings, frescoes, statues and tapestries. It was dealing with symbols in the cave paintings, frescoes, statues and tapestries and tells a story with the pictures. In this context, "The Yellow Kid" of Richard Felton Outcault is the first comic strip and the birthplace of comics is America. That is why comics have remained in Germany and Turkey under the influence of America. The Italian products have had great impact in Turkey. Nevertheless, their own comics developed both in Germany and in Turkey. Abstrakt Der Name "Comic" ist eine Folge der oft komischen Erzählungen, die in den kurzen Bildabfolgen oder Bilder erzählt wurden. Diese kurzen Bildabfolgen wird man als Comic Strips genannt. Neben den zahlreichen humoristischen Serien gibt es jede Art von Comics, die politischen, gewaltverherrlichenden oder gesellschaftlichen Inhalte haben. Diese Comics, die unterschiedlichen Themen haben, werden von sowohl Kinder und Jugendlich als auch Erwachsenen lieber gefolgt und gelesen, obwohl man denkt, dass nur Kinder und Jugendlich Comics lesen. Comics sind populäre Kultur, die Ursprung als Bestandteil der Sonntagszeitungen nehmen, und haben heutzutage große Bedeutung in der Kinder und Jugend Literatur. Das Ziel der vorliegenden Studie ist eine Einführung zu machen, was Ziel und Bedeutung von Comics sind, welche Eigenschaften Comics vorliegen, z.B. Sprechblasen, Schreiben oder Bilder etc. und zu vergleichen die Geschichte von Comics in Amerika, Deutschland und in der Türkei. Der Ursprung der Comics beruht auf die Höhlenmalereien, Fresken, Bildsäulen und Bildteppiche. Mit Symbolen in den Höhlenmalereien, Fresken, Bildsäulen und Bildteppiche wurde es sich beschäftigt und mit den Bildern eine Geschichte erzählt. In diesem Zusammenhang ist "The Yellow Kid (Das gelbe Kind)" von Richard Felton Outcault der erste Comicstrip und der Geburtsort von Comics ist Amerika. Deswegen sind Comics in Deutschland und in der Türkei unter dem Einfluss von Amerika geblieben. Auch die italienischen Produkte hatten große Wirkung in der Türkei. Trotzdem entwickelten eigene Comics sich sowohl in Deutschland als auch in der Türkei.

1969 Kars doğumlu Doç. Dr. Hikmet Asutay, Kabataş Erkek Lisesi-İstanbul mezunu olup, İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Alman Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünü 1992 yılında bitirerek İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde 1995 yılında Alman Dili Eğitimi Yüksek Lisans programını Prof.Dr. Yüksel ÖZOĞUZ danışmanlığında “R.M.Rilkes Malte-Roman” üzerine yazdığı yüksek lisans tezi ile bitirmiştir. Frankfurt'ta DAAD yıllık bursiyeri olarak Goethe Üniversitesi'nde Prof. Dr. H. H. Ewers danışmanlığında yaptığı çalışmalarla 2000 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Alman Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünde Prof. Dr. Nilüfer TAPAN danışmanlığında “Türk ve Alman Çocuk ve Gençlik Yazınlarında Ergenlik Romanı” adıyla gençlik yazını üzerine hazırladığı doktora teziyle Dr. olmuştur.1994 yılında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak başladığı Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Yabancı Diller Eğitimi Bölümü Alman Dili ve Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında 2001 yılında yardımcı doçent olan Asutay, 2011 yılında Doçent olmuş ve aynı bölümde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmaya devam etmektedir. 2007-2012 yılları arasında Yabancı Diller Eğitimi Bölüm Başkanlığı yapmış, halen Alman Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı başkanlığını yürütmektedir. Ayrıca 2005-2006 öğretim yılında Bonn Üniversitesi Almanca-Türkçe Çeviri Bölümü ve Doğu Dilleri Bölümlerinde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmıştır.

ASSOC. PROF. Dr. HİKMET ASUTAY

Born in Kars / Turkey in 1969, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hikmet Asutay graduated from İstanbul Kabataş Male High School and finished İstanbul University Faculty of Literature German Philology department in 1992. In 1995, he finished German Language Education Master’s Degree program with his postgraduate thesis on ‘R.M: Rilkes Malte-Roman’ with the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Yüksel ÖZOĞUZ. In 2000, as a DAAD annual scholarship holder in Frankfurt, with the works he did with the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Hans Heino Ewers in Gothe University, he has completed his doctorate in İstanbul Universty German Language and Literature Department with his PhD thesis on youth literature named ’The novel of adolescence in Turk and German children’s and youth literature’ (Türk ve Alman Çocuk ve Gençlik Yazınlarında Ergenlik Romanı ) with the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Tapan. He has worked as research assistant in 1994 in Trakya Universty. He became Assistant Professor in 2001 at the department of German Language and Education in Trakya University Education Faculty, Foreign Languages Education department. He became Associate Professor in 2011 and he teaches at the same department as a faculty member. He worked as the head of Foreign Languages Education Department between 2007-2012 and he is still the head of the department of German Language and Education. And also, in 2005-2006 academic year, he studied as an academic member in Bonn University German Turkish Translation and East Languages Department.
