How Turkey’s national youth policy should be structured?

Abstract

Over 20 million young citizens of Turkey is one the most popular discussion issues in public agenda. On one hand young population of the country provides a privileged position to Turkey, on the other hand it has important effects on socio-economic resources. According to economists, Turkey needs to create new employment opportunities for one million young people in every year. Clearly, young people as called “hope of Turkey” also bear risk to transform a source of serious social problems. In this frame, it is clear that Turkey needs to a comprehensive youth policy. The aim of this study is to discuss how youth policy of Turkey should be structured.
