Economic development and change coming true in national and international scale are differently reflected to many cities. While some cites grow on the base of the advantages that modern and competitive industry brings, the others insist to be a part of the same change and challenge. In these cities as mentioned, traditional industry, like trade and agriculture, decreases in importance and it doesn’t give adequate support to urban organization. To remove the negative situation in question and to turn the process into positive one, cities use natural, historical and cultural tourism values as a tool in reviving the economy and correcting the life standards. But if these tools are to be continuously used, many variables need measuring. One of variables is public view to tourism and tourist. The author measures this variable in Sivas city by using public survey. If a tourism destination which wants to market its tourism values in local scale is to be successful, then market, consumer research and public look to tourism and tourist get more importance. Local people attitude come first in subjects to be evaluated. Public survey is one of rational way to evaluate public attitude too. In this context, the research findings related to socio-demographic and perception manner are evaluated by doing a public survey in Sivas City. Evaluations are taken up in terms of people’s personal preferences, their drive and informative organization. Perception relations are tried to analyze. Although being different in detail, the findings show that people have positive attitude to tourism to develop in the city.Downloads
