Niklas Luhmann’ın sosyal sistem kuramı ve çeviri sistemine yansıması

Abstract

This article aims at discussing an important problem of university education from the point of view of translation studies. The relation of translation education and the translation curriculum with social practice, and the counterpart of translation studies departments in the social system, constitute an important problem in the field of translation. It is possible to increase the quality of the translation industry through translation education by identifying the counterparts of translation education and translation theories in practice, and their positions within the translation system. The realisation of this objective is possible by considering translation as a system. Thanks to this approach of considering translation as a system, the positions of the actors within the translation system may be reinterpreted. This article aims at redefining the position of all stakeholders of the translation system within the translation system.

Özet

Bu makale üniversite eğitiminin en önemli sorunlarından birisi olan kuram pratik ilişkisini çeviribilim perspektifinden tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Kuram ve uygulama bir sistemin dönüşüm hallerini temsil ederler. Kuramdan pratiğe ve pratikten kurama dönüşle gerçekleşen toplumsal sistemler, kendi bağımsız işleyişlerini ve kalitelerini sürdürme yeteneğini geliştirebilirler. Çeviri eğitiminin ve çeviri müfredatının toplumsal pratikle ilişkisi ve çeviri bölümlerinin toplumsal sistemdeki karşılığı çeviri alanının önemli bir sorunsalıdır. Çeviri eğitimi ve çeviri kuramlarının pratikteki karşılıkları ve çeviri sistemi içindeki konumlarının yeniden belirlenerek, çeviri sektörünün çeviri eğitimi yoluyla kalitesini artırması mümkündür. Bu amacın gerçekleşebilmesi çevirinin bir sistem olarak ele alınmasıyla mümkündür. Çevirinin bir sistem olarak ele alınması sayesinde, çeviri sistemindeki aktörlerin konumları yeniden yorumlanabilir. Bu yazı, Luhmann’ın sistem kuramından yola çıkarak, çeviri sisteminin tüm paydaşlarının çeviri sistemindeki rolünün yeniden belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır.
