This study was conducted to determine the differences between the variables of gender, age, educational status and the number of exercises performed weekly with body liking and general self-efficacy and also to examine the effect of body liking on self-efficacy. A total of 271 voluntary participants, 141 women and 130 men, who participated in fitness activities, participated in the study. In the study, the General Self-Efficacy Scale was utilized as well as the Body Liking Scale. The data were tested with descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one-way analysis of variance ANOVA, Pearson correlation test and simple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that the average body liking score of the participants is high and their general self-efficacy levels are at an average level. At the same time, it was determined that gender, age, educational status and number of weekly exercise sessions significantly differentiated body appreciation and general self-efficacy. As a result, it was determined that self-efficacy had an effect of 22% in explaining body liking and both measurement tools showed a positive and significant relationship.
