Students’ opinions regarding the usage of computer technologies in constructivist learning environment

The aim of this study was to determine the opinions of the eight grade students using computer technologies in constructivist learning on science and technology course. The research was carried out in an elementary school in İzmir, in spring semester of 2007-2008. 47 students participated in the study group in all, consisting 24 students in the experimental group and 23 students in the control group. The study lasted in fife weeks. The courses were performed according to the constructivist learning based activities in the experimental group and the traditional teacher-centered approach in the control group. Student opinion form developed by the researches as a means of gathering data. Content analysis and frequency analysis methods were used to analyze the data.
