Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to analyze the content of the daybooks of the Anatolian kazâskerlik (chief justice). The daybooks contains knowledge on judges (kadis), professors (müderrises) and muftis (müftüs) and can be found information on the activities of ulema's promotion, re-location. The daybooks are among the major important primary sources of the Ottoman learned institution and its history studies.
