Abstract
This article will analyze a historical analysis of Croatian, Slovenian and Bosnian nationalist movement and its effects on dissolution of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In analyzing history of those three states, this article will determine how the idea and desire for statehood of a ethnic group develops. It will determine which factors and groups in the society influence the drive towards independence and how such ideas are materialized. In this study will be analysed of the role of international community to the dicision-making process behind recognition of these states.
